2012 All Welsh Show

We were very pleased with our All Welsh Show this year. Four ponies were shown for 3 broad sashes.

Judaroo Boston came out of semi retirement and stud duties to be the Champion Welsh Mountain Stallion. He is now 12 and was last shown as a 4yo.

Imperial Honey-Sweet, purchased at the Imperial/Bamborough sale was Champion Welsh filly. On her very first outing Judaroo Pixie was a little star, taking the atmosphere in her stride and went on to be the Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain filly.

Judaroo Lolly-time was 2nd in the yearling Welsh filly class.

It was a very relaxed show, very well organised by Kym Shingleton and her helpers!

First Ollie Foal!

It was very exciting to welcome our first foal by Bamborough Othello, a filly born 20/09/11 out of Judaroo Lilac Time. We look forward to the arrivals of his other foals, Judaroo Lovestory and Morwynt Lipstick due early October, Judaroo Ethnie in November and Judaroo Lady Lyla in early January.

It is with sadness that we heard of the death of the wonderful old pony, Judaroo Kenton. He has been a very successful competitor at the Perth Royal and WA All Welsh Shows. A fantastic children's pony, he will be missed by many people, especially the Falconer family who have given him such a wonderful home over many years.

Welsh Show News!

Judaroo ponies performed well at the 2010 All Welsh Show. Congratulations to Ashley Cleaver with Judaroo Executive on winning Supreme Led Gelding. He was accompanied by Judaroo Timezone as Reserve Champion Gelding. Also Judaroo Pavarotti won his class in the Welsh Mountain Juniors.

We showed a full sister to J. Pavarotti ( Kingswood Snowman/ Judaroo Welsh Princess) in J. Philadelphia. She won a strong yearling Welsh Mountain filly class and was awarded Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Filly.

Congratulations also to the Falconer Family with dear old Judaroo Kenton on winning the First Ridden Childs Pony and placing in  all his classes.

There has been plenty happening at the Judaroo and Morwynt Pony Studs over the last couple of months!

The most exciting news is the purchase of a Section B Colt Bamborough Othello (Eyarth Tigra(IMP) X Imperial Juliet). He has been purchased as a joint effort between Jan and Kathryn Buttfield and this sees the end to a long search for a stallion to put over our Rhoson Gaugin(IMP) daughters. We are very thankful to Robert Grant of Bamborough for allowing us to purchase him at a difficult time for him with the passing of Jill. Othello will be a constant reminder to us of a delightful lady in Jill Grant whom we were fortunate to have known.

Sadly we have sold Kingswood Snowman and he has gone to Suellin and Anthony Deane at LLanfairbryn. Snowman came to us 5 years ago when Kathryn discovered him for sale on a web site, while searching for a B Stallion. His bloodlines were too good to ignore even if an A stallion was not high on our priority list. He has given us some beautiful fillies to go on with and most excitingly a colt in Judaroo Picasso giving us the opportunity to cross our two favourite dam lines we call the” P”and” L” lines coming from Chawton Penelope and Punga Ladybird imported from New Zealand almost 40 years ago. Although it was sad to see him go there was no room to run so many stallions and we hope  he will go on and give the Deanes’  some great stock as he has for us.

We showed 3 ponies at the Royal and were thrilled to have the very cheeky Picasso  (Kingswood Snowman/ Judaroo Welsh Princess) awarded Champion Welsh Mountain Stallion or colt. He came straight home and in with his first two mares so the greatest excitement will be next year when his first foals arrive.

It was also very pleasing to see Morwynt Liberace (Lemonshill Topnote/Morwynt Ladybird) judged  Junior Champion Welsh Pony and Reserve Champion Welsh Stallion or Colt. He will now enjoy some play time with another young colt and will possibly be sold as a saddle prospect at our 2011 Auction.

There are four foals on the ground:

A filly to Judaroo Welsh Princess by Imperial Hazard. (pictured left)

A colt to Judaroo Polly by Nattai Toby Jones.

A filly to Judaroo Water Lilly by Nattai Toby Jones.

A colt to Judaroo Lilac Time by Imperial Jackpot.

We have one more due at the end of October to Judaroo Ethnie by Rhoson Gaugin.

Congratulations to Ashleigh Cleaver on winning the Best Welsh Youngstock In-Hand and the Society Medal at the Welsh Young Stock Show with Asharley Wills Way. This show was judged by International  judge John James from Wales. Asharley purchased his mother Eljay Lucinda at the2007 Judaroo Auction, in foal to Rhoson Gaugin(IMP),producing this lovely colt.

We are extremely grateful to our wonderful friend Maria Archer for all the hard work she has put into designing this website for us. Her creativity we admire so much and her patience with our disorganisation has been greatly appreciated. We highly reccommend 'Breakneck Grafix' for anyone needing graphic work.

As one can see there is more information to go on this website and we hope to get more up as soon as possible. With Maria's guidence and help we hope that we will update more regularly.

We had six beautiful foals in 2009 and are expecting a similar number in 2010.
